Esta villa se cre\u00f3 bajo la orden del presidente, quien env\u00edo a Hern\u00e1n Suarez de Villalobos a crear un lugar que fuera despensa agr\u00edcola para los soldados que se encontraban en Tunja y V\u00e9lez, por eso la plaza principal de la villa es la m\u00e1s grande de Colombia con sus 14.000 m2 de \u00e1rea. Hay historiadores que usan Villa de Leyva y otros quienes la nombran Villa de Leiva, as\u00ed que est\u00e1 inc\u00f3gnita se ha pasado por varias generaciones hasta hoy en d\u00eda donde a\u00fan nos preguntamos por la forma correcta de escribir el nombre de nuestra querida villa. En el diccionario Geogr\u00e1fico de Colombia, Agust\u00edn Codazzi, utiliza Leiva. Aunque la forma original y espa\u00f1ola usa el Leyva. Tambi\u00e9n es conocido como un lugar de inspiraci\u00f3n para artistas como pintores, escultores, arquitectos, artesanos que llenan de cultura y arte, enriqueciendo al class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>Museo del CHOCOLATE<\/h2>\n<p>Dentro de Villa de Leyva se encuentra un lugar lleno de magia y sabor para todos sus visitantes. Desde el 13 de septiembre del 2013, d\u00eda internacional del chocolate se inaugur\u00f3 el <strong>Museo del Chocolate<\/strong>, el primer museo experiencial de Colombia en honor a este delicioso alimento. Actualmente tenemos dos sedes conjunto a la plaza principal de Villa de Leyva y contamos con el Restaurante Chef Cacao, Boutique y joyer\u00eda Chocolate Woman, panader\u00eda y pasteler\u00eda Choco Pan.<\/p>\n<p>El Museo del Chocolate cuenta con cultivos de cacao org\u00e1nico en Pauna \u2013 Boyac\u00e1 y en el 2019 se hace un cultivo experimental en Villa de Leyva.<\/p>\n<p>Dentro de las experiencias que ofrecemos en el museo podr\u00e1s disfrutar de recetas originales de Chef Cacao, crear tus propias tabletas de chocolate, recorrer nuestras exhibiciones, comprar chocolates \u00fanicos en la tienda y conocer m\u00e1s sobre la historia del cacao, el chocolate y el museo, entre muchas otras.
